Since we need to be able to get to our shelter in very short time, we decided to build it in our backyard, which is fenced in. It will be well covered with fake grass and practically untraceable for anyone to find. For us, we will obviously be able to find exactly where it is an have very easy access to it.

Upon digging up all the dirt we need to put it somewhere. We had decided to put the dirt in layers all along the rest of our yard. At first we had though to stack it up as a wall, but then someone would realize what is going on. Too, the extra layer of dirt on top can reinforce the ceiling above us.

Some of the things used to build our fallout shelter can include sand, bricks, and concrete blocks. The sand makes it dense enough in case of the nuclear fallout. Bricks are reinforcements to hold up the walls a little bit more. The blocks can also be stacked as more reinforcements. In the layers there will be insulation. On the ceilings there will be the holes to have the filtering system for air. There will be fans by these holes to keep the air circulating and also to keep things cool if it gets too hot. To keep snug we will have a coal stove.

Being that we need to live in there for 2 years, we need plenty of space to be in, not too much, but just enough. In this shelter you will first walk down a ramp into a little room. This little room will be air-locked and it is also where the outside people will never pass. It is extremely reinforced with steel plates to make sure no one gets in. Upon walking in, there will be 11 rooms.

One of the most important rooms is the generator room. This will keep all of the electricity on and allow our food to remain edible. Beings that there is 2 people there, we will have a room for each person, and one extra room if it is needed. The bathroom and shower room will be separate. The storage room will probably be the biggest room in the whole place. We will have a storage room to store our necessities and food. We will have an exercise room to keep in shape while being down there. A waste room will be behind the bathrooms for all of the garbage and human waste. Last, in the middle will be the main room for activities and eating area. There will be air vents to keep air circulating throughout the area. Since we have to store things for 2 years and after those 2 years, there will need to be plenty of space.

10 Generators 1000 Gallons of Water 700 Non-Perishable, Canned Foods 300 Cans of Juices and Milk First Aid Kits (3-4) Flashlight Plenty of Batteries Paper Plates and Utensils 10 Plastic Storage Containers Coal Entertainment (Books and Board Games) Light Bulbs Fire Extinguisher Toilet Washboard and Bucket 7 Sets of Clothing Each Toiletry and Cleaning Supplies Tool Kit Blankets and Pillows (3 Sets) Bicycle (2) Bicycle Stands (to exercise with 2 Pistols 12 Gauge Shotgun (4) Ammunition Fans Exercise machine Fridge Freezer

If someone were to try and get into our shelter we will go by any means to make sure we stay safe. We will have a shotgun next to the airlock room just incase someone decides to try and get in.

After 2 years have gone by, we need means of transportation. This is where our bicycles come into play. Going out in this world we will have to be safe, therefore we will be bringing guns (pistols) to keep off all the unwanted. Remaining in the shelter for sometime will allow us to think on how to rebuild things for a place to stay above ground.

To help rebuild the United States of America, we need to make a plan for future use and references. Some things that we would like to keep for future use would be certain medical information that could save lives. Also the medicine that can treat these certain problems. Blue prints is also one thing that could help people rebuild the actually building part. Scientific notes and formulas are also a good thing to have for people to look back on and figure out certain things. One other thing that would be useful is using the trading idea.
