Our OHDELA plan will raise money for the Athens County Animal Shelter. That money will help save the lives of animals at the shelter by not having to be put down if not adopted. About 5 million animals are put down a year. The money we raise will most likely prevent this. This event will be held in the field behind the Athens County Animal Shelter. We will be holding this event once a year, every October 15 th. We want to do this because we want to save those animals lives. We really think that this will help and support the animals. All we kindly ask of you is to donate money, and maybe adopt a pet of your own while you’re over there.

We, a group of middle school students, are hosting an event to help support the animals of the shelter. At this event we’ll have a cookout, bake sale, games, a Chinese auction, and More!! So, please come and help us raise money for the animals. Where: Field located behind Athens County Animal Shelter When: Saturday October 15 th All money made will be used to buy supplies for the animals at the animal shelter, giving them a longer time to be adopted without having to be put down. Feel free to adopt a pet of your own while you’re there!! More on back (This is our Brochure)

About 8-12 million animals enter animal shelters every year. The estimation of how many animals that are put down is 5 million. We want to put a stop to this! So we need your help. All we kindly ask is that you help us raise money by attending this event we will have once a year. Thank you!

You’re looking for a pet. Where do you look? O Newspaper (6 people) O Animals Shelter (21 people) O Pet Store (30 people) O All of the above (12 people) Do you already have a pet(s)? O Yes (52 people) O No (25 people) O No, but I want one (2 people) How do you feel about animals? O I think they are gross (0 people) O I think they are cute (47 people) O I think they make good friend (21 people) How do you feel about shelters putting animals down if they have not been adopted for more space? O I think its wrong and that it should be stopped (51 people) O I think its cruel (18 people) O I don’t really care (9 people) Will you help participate In helping save the animals of the shelter? O Yes (32 people) O No Thanks (37 people) We surveyed 68 people. Here are the results

In conclusion, we think that if we were to actually organize this event then we would have a pretty good turn out based upon our survey results. We think this because many people think it is wrong for the shelter to put down animals if not adopted, for more space. All-in-all we had a fun time working together.
