G ENDER D IFFERENCES. Maria Matsangidou.

The way that women and men notice and understand things in business change from culture to culture. A few years ago it was difficult for women to find a job in a big company.  In our days women hold top positions at many corporations. However in some cultures still men tend to hold most top positions in business and women play a more low profile role. Also in some cases female executives who may find themselves in other cultures may not be taken seriously until they show that they are capable of functioning efficiently.

As more women enter the business world nowadays it tends to be more difficult for them to understand the philosophy of some companies that for years have been under the control of a man.  For example: The language they use. According to the established norms women and men tend to have different ways to communicate.  For example: Men tend to emphasize on the content in their message.  Women tend to emphasize on relationships and their continuation. In conclusion most of them are generalizations, but they can help men and women to communicate more easily.
