The future is changing We want our children to be able to succeed in the information and communication rich world. Children will need to be able to deal with vast quantities of information communicate with different people around the world use and exploit computers at work and home benefit from using computers personally contribute effectively in society help our country become economically stronger

The future is changing We want our children to be able to succeed so children will need to be able to deal with vast quantities of information communicate with people around the world use and exploit computers at work contribute to society help our country become economically stronger

Does using ICT have any impact? Around the world there is lots of evidence that using ICT improves attainment and achievement (including in GCSEs) increases motivation, engagement wider benefits such as concentration, cognitive processing, independent learning, critical thinking and teamwork reduces truancy using whiteboards (well) improves outcomes engaging parents with ICT impacts on educational outcomes However, it should be noted the e-maturity of the school has a large impact on outcomes.

Does using ICT have any impact? Even with limited equipment there is evidence for: improved academic performance greater engagement in education increased confidence capability for independent learning developing peer-to-peer learning patterns community engagement
