Define: Teaching  Teaching is imparting knowledge to the students.  To make inept students to adept. Merriam-Webster’s Definition: A teacher plays a very important role in moulding the career of a student emotionally, technically and intellectually. 3

Every educator is an active participant in the evaluation process Continuous Learning Collaboration & Continuous Learning are the focus Every educator proposes at least One professional practice goal and One student learning goal – tams goals must be considered Every educator & evaluator collects evidence and assesses progress Every educator has a mid-cycle review Every educator earns one of four ratings of performance Every educator uses a rubric and data about student learning 13

Performance Assessment & final evaluation = Summative Professional learning, growth & development = Formative 14

 Clear definition of the WHAT of teaching.  Instruments & procedures that provide evidence of HOW to teach.  Trained evaluators who can make consistent judgments based on OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE.  To understand the evaluation criteria for EFFECTIVE teaching.  Process for making final judgment. 15
