Awakening by Robin Wasserman

Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin Because of a twist of fate, Naomi’s life has abruptly changed. Losing the coin toss with her best friend and co-editor of the yearbook Will, she ended up going back for the yearbook camera. Life was never the same again. On her way from the yearbook office, camera in hand, she ended up falling down the steps and hitting her head. Now, she has lost four years of her life. Four years! She doesn’t even remember Will, or the yearbook, or her boyfriend Ace. She doesn’t even remember falling in love with him in the first place or understand why! She didn’t remember her parent’s divorce, or her mother’s new life with her new husband and daughter. Or her dad’s fiancée. And, if she hadn’t fallen down the steps, she would never have met James. So many things changed on that fateful day…
