Office of Accountability Research, Evaluation & Assessment 5 Testing Population Determining Which Students Take ACT Compass Students in grade 10 in 2014–2015 will take the ACT Plan in November as part of the statewide Career and College Assessments Based on ACT Plan scores, students who are identified as not yet academically ready for career or college in English (Writing), Reading, and/or Math will take ACT Compass MDE is working with advisory and stakeholder groups to determine the ACT Plan scores that will identify grade 10 students required to take ACT Compass beginning in January If an ACT Plan record does not exist, the student will take ACT Compass in Reading, Mathematics, and Writing Grade 10 students who are eligible must take ACT Compass to meet graduation assessment requirements 2

Note: The TI-Nspire (non-CAS) is permitted. - Hewlett-Packard: HP 48GII and all model numbers that begin with HP 40G, HP 49G, or HP 50G - Casio: Algebra fx 2.0, ClassPad 300 and ClassPad 330, and all model numbers that begin with CFX-9970G Handheld, tablet, or laptop computers, including PDAs Electronic writing pads or pen-input devices—Note: The Sharp EL 9600 is permitted.
