Legalization of the foreigner’s stay in the territory of Poland who begin or continue studies

VISA The foreigner may cross the border and stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland if he/she is in a possession of a valid travel document and a visa.

Term of applying for the residence permit for a fixed period of time permit for a fixed period of time The foreigner staying in the territory of the Republic of Poland is obliged to apply for the residence permit for a fixed period at least in the last day of his legal stay on the base of visa or the expiration date of the previous permit for a fixed period

The list of documents to be submitted along with application for residency permit for a fixed period: 1. 4 copies of filled in application form 2 5 recent photographs, undamaged, dimensions: 4,5 cm x 3,5 cm, no head coverings or hats, no sunglasses, the face should be evenly illuminated.

If the application for the residence card is submitted in due time and if the conditions required are fulfilled the Immgigration Office puts a special stamp in the forigner’s passport confirming that the application was made and accepted.

Obligations to inform the Immigration Office about the termination of the purpose for granting the permition -The foreigner is obliged to inform the Immigration Office about the termination of the purpose of stay in Poland within the 15 days -The University is obliged to inform the Immigration Office immediately uppon withdrawal of the foreigner from the student’s list or the decision to retake the year

The immigration Office may deny the permition for residence in the next years if the foreigner does not get the admission for the next year and has to retake the yeear of studies.
