Romans: God is RIGHTEOUS in JUDGMENT (1:18-3:20) – must condemn all because all sin in JUSTIFICATION (3:21-5:21) – declares believers righteous through Christ in SANCTIFICATION (6:1-8:39) – makes believers righteous through the Spirit

Question (6:1) 1.What does it mean? – “sin” (singular) = a master – “sin” produces “sins” (v12) 2.Why ask it? 5:20

Question (6:1) 3.Who’s asking? – someone who wants to excuse sin “I like committing crimes. God likes forgiving them. Really the world is admirably arranged.” W.H. Auden
