RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY SENIOR LIFEGUARD / INSTRUCTOR Reporting to the Aquatics Supervisor, the Senior Lifeguard / Instructor will provide a crucial role in providing a strong positive image for the Recreation & Community Services Department. The primary role encompasses assisting with the supervision of the aquatic centre and junior lifeguard staff, aquatics facility maintenance and custodial duties, and swim lesson and program instruction. Required Qualifications: Ability to supervise patrons and lifeguards in the aquatic centre in accordance with legislation and policy requirements. NLS, LSI, Pool Operator Level I, CPR “C”, First Aid, AED, WHMIS, and a successful criminal record check; other beneficial certifications include: Pool Operator Level II, NLS Instructor, LSI Instructor, Aqua Fitness experience, and First Aid and CPR Instructor. Ability to respond to inquiries from the public and provide superior customer service. Ability to perform lifeguarding duties and instructional tasks. Minimum two years’ experience as a lifeguard / instructor Willingness to attend training and learn new skills.
