Welcome to Newton-Lee Preschool! Mrs. Katie Folsom

Who’s Who? Katie Folsom: Teacher Michelle Yoon: Class Assistant Cindy Biales: Speech Therapy Nancy Lynch: Physical Therapy Alison Snell: Occupational Therapist

About Me I am so excited to teach preschool for the fourth year at NLE! I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA…GO STEELERS! I graduated from Slippery Rock University earning a degree in Elementary/Special Education with a Certification in Early Childhood In May, I graduated with my Master’s degree in Special Education from GMU

About Michelle This is Michelle’s 1st year in ECSE and 7th at NLE! Previously she worked with NLE’s ELL program. She has a Degree in Early Childhood Education

About the Classroom Lessons are developed based on developmental levels and each individual child’s goals. A total communication approach is used in the classroom incorporating signs, gestures, and words to help our child succeed.

Arrival/Dismissal Students arrive at 7:30 am and will be dismissed to the car rider or bus at 11:45 am Absent??? Call 571-252-1539 Transportation?

What Should I Bring? The supply list for this year is as follows: 1box gallon “ZipLock” bags Velcro Glue Bottle Play Dough (set of 4) 1 box of tissues 2 packages of wipes if your child wears diapers, 1 package if your child is potty trained 1 roll of paper towels 1 days set of clothes for warm and cold weather Book Bag

Why We Use Regular Size Book Bags… We recommend a regular sized book bag so the children’s work can fit into it easily. We hate to bend the corners and fold your child’s creative work!

LABEL, LABEL, LABEL! When sending in anything with your child ( extra clothes, book bag, toy, diapers, wipes, etc.) Please label everything with a first and last name or initial.
