VISION STATEMENT  Vision is a mental image of a possible and desirable future.  How might the Association “be perceived” fifteen or more years from now?  It connotes a standard of excellence, an ideal that can be realized. Vision states: “What is the guiding direction and principles for the Association for the long-term?”

MISSION OBJECTIVES  The Mission Objectives are formal, short, written statements of the purpose of the Association’s business strategy.  They provide "the framework or context within which the Association’s strategic goals, policies, and action plans are formulated.  They state: “Where do we want the Association to be” at the end of the five-year planning period?”

STRATEGIC GOALS Strategic Goals must conform to the element requirements below and aligned with the Strategic Objectives:  S pecific  M easureable  A chievable  R ealistic  T ime Bound

VISION Acknowledged leader in advancing quality performance and sustainability in the water sector. MISSION OBJECTIVES 1. Advocate the collective interests of professionals in the water sector in Albania. 2. Serve as a leading resource for knowledge, professional development and networking. 3. Invest time and resources to build awareness and attract future generations to seek a career in the water sector. 4. Be a positive force for mutual understanding, collaboration and regional partnerships in the Western Balkans. STRATEGICGOALSSTRATEGICGOALS 1.a. Strengthen sector advocacy efforts towards government and institutions for better uptake of water supply and sewerage issues in public policy, legislation and the allocation of resources. 2.a. Promote capacity building and performance improvement products and services toward affecting the measured performance of utilities 3.a. Enhance the education and outreach program to increase awareness among young generations in Albania and the public at- large. 4.a. Promote the organization of joint activities with water associations in the Western Balkans. 1.b. Advocate the use of quality equipment, materials and chemicals that comply with EU and other standards of quality that are recognized in the water sector. 2.b. Promote partnerships between utility members focused on mentoring for improved utility performance. 3.b. Attract and support the development of the next generation of professionals who are going to manage the water sector in the future. 4.b. Promote exchange of best practices among water utilities in the Western Balkans. 2.c. Promote research and development through project grants that engage member utility staff. 3.c. Increase the number and diversity of membership to better reflect the stakeholders in the water sector. 2.d. Promote knowledge exchange among all members to enhance technology transfer and sharing of best practices.
