Project Management A project is an undertaking whereby a problem or a series of problems are solved. The project must be completed on time and within budget e.g building a bridge, renovating a building, developing software etc. Project management software is used for allocating resources such as labour and materials

Methods of Project Management An example of a project management method that has been adopted is PRINCE/PRINCE2 which is short for ‘Projects in Controlled Environments’

Software Development Software can be broken down into modules each of which can be developed by a team or different individuals refer to page 85 in textbook for the diagram on how the project is managed using a PERT chart.
