Your Challenge – Hard working, worried, not adapting to change, specific needs, high flyer, making friends, new school, conscientious, (match the challenge to a possible solution)

Form tutor challenge Plan an introductory tutor activity. Find out about them Ask how they are Thank them Smile at them Open a door for them As the leader and the adult in the classroom, if you model the behaviour you want them to display, you have a good chance they will copy you eventually!

Subject teacher challenge Plan an introductory activity for a year 7 class in your specialist subject area Find out about them – Data, progress to date. Ask how they are – friendship groups, seating plans Thank them – positive praise Smile at them – climate for learning Open a door for them – be prepared, plan lessons effectively, greet them at the door. As the leader and the adult in the classroom, if you model the behaviour you want them to display, you have a good chance they will copy you eventually!

Evaluation & Reflection Please take time to complete the evaluation
