Maporama Geocentric Services Framework (MGSF) is a universal framework of geocentric services operated by Maporama Intl. 24/7 that enables any company to take advantage of the power of these services integrated into their information system and/or their business processes. What is a geocentric service? A geocentric service combines localisation data of fixed elements (sales outlets, client addresses…) and/or mobile elements (vehicles, individuals…) with cartographic data to provide the user with the requested information and improve his operational efficiency. Why? Geocentric services are useful in many daily tasks performed in any company. For example: to optimise sales rounds, to check the existence of an address, to track fleets of vehicles, to send localised mailing shots, shorten sales cycles of customers How ? Gather different types of geographic content Maporama Unified Geocentric Database gathers many databases to deliver accurate information about road networks, forests or hydrology. It also includes a base of more than 1.7 million points of interests (airports, train stations, bus stations, gas stations, museums, theatres, hotels, restaurants, banks, shopping malls, post offices etc.). Manage real-time data flow Providing constantly updated data in real time is critical for many applications. Depending on their specific needs, the client hosts on this base the static content needed to run its geocentric services. For example, a sales manager can enter the entire list of its clients and their addresses to allow his salesmen to localise the position of the nearest client in real time. Easily managed with Maporama administration tools MGSF offers administration tools to create, update, or modify the Partner Base. With these tools in hand, the user have a complete autonomy to manage its data. Moreover when needed, several users can enrich and modify the base thanks to a system of user rights. 7 7 © July 2004 Maporama International SASMaporama Geocentric Services Framework Dynamic positioning With MGSF, any company can localise all types of elements in motion (vehicles, individuals) equipped with: Global Positioning System (GPS) More and more companies are using GPS technology in their everyday operations for different purposes such as on-board navigation or fleet management. The usage of this technology is likely to significantly grow with the launch of GPS/A-GPS mobile devices (cell phones, PDAs…). Using MGSF, a company can localise precisely (3 meters) any device using GPS. GSM phones (Cell ID, Triangulation, EOTD,…) GSM phones can also be localised using several types of technology such as Cell ID or triangulation. MGSF sends a request to the telcos’ information systems to receive the position of the mobile phone in real time. Localising using GSM technology is less precise than doing it with GPS, however it offers the advantage of being easily and quickly implemented. Data Engines Services

These types of information are useful for example for logistics and human resources professionals (verify expense reports).
