 The main goal of the Youth Empowerment Action is to integrate all children from the street back into society and their homes.  SLOGAN: Don’t make beggars of our people

 History  Children are begging and living on the streets  work with families of disorientated youth (parenting skills)  children needs an safe and healthy environment  Integrating into society and homes  Preventive approach  Charity is not a structural solution for poverty, education is!

 a registered non-profit organization, which has been operating in South Africa since 1983  The core is based on self-development.  The programme consists of skill development, physical recreation, community service and the adventurous journey.  Empowered youth can make considered choices.  To reach the different goals for the youth to receive their bronze, silver or golden award, we organizes a camp on a yearly basis.

 FIF, a subsidiary of YEA, focuses on families with children between 0 and 6 years old.  FIF is a project of FCW, the Western Cape Foundation for Community Work. FCW supports the FIF employees by trainings and materials.  Homevisits to get the children at the same level as children that goes to a creche.

 Youth Empowerment Scheme is an intervention programme for youth at risk developed by the National Institute for Crime Prevention and Reintegration of Offenders (NICRO)  8 sessions with different themes  Each session starts with an icebreaker and goes on with a variation of games and discussions.  Assist youth to make wise decisions and to enjoy a happy childhood

 A full-day programme we run every school holiday  Teach the children life skills and expose them to sports, arts and crafts, compassion work,...

 The social worker  doing home visits within the community and, if necessary, sets up programmes to help children and/or families in need.

 trauma assistants in the police station  primary service where abused children get therapeutic support  Qualify as trauma assistent: to do a training of 8 sessions
