In 1953 our school was named “A. G. Roncalli” in honor of Cardinal Angelo Roncalli, who later took the name of Pope John XXIII. Anna Rita Granatiero

Here is our headmaster. His name is Michele d’Arienzo and he was born on 14th October 1943 in Monte Sant’Angelo, a small town near Manfredonia.

He graduated with a degree in classical literature at the University of Milan in Our headmaster has a lot of hobbies: art, traditions and cultural heritage. He is one of the members of “Società della Storia Patria” and of “Association Les Amis du Mont-Saint- Michel”.His last work is “The church and the monestry of Carmine in Monte Sant'Angelo from XVI to XXI century. Our school has got a multimedia laboratory with twenty five computers and a projector which desplays us images or texts. On the left of the room there is a cabinet where we keep CDs, cassettes and documents that we produce. Maria Bisceglia

Near the cabinet there is the teachers' desk, with the control computer from which our teachers can check our works. The laboratory has got four windows: two big and two small. We really enjoy working in the laboratory and time flies when we are there meanly when we have a session of chat with our Polish friends.

Our librarian is Ms Antonella Perla and she started working in our school in She graduated with a degree in Modern Letters at the University of Bari. She works 36 hours a week from 8a.m. to 2 p.m. everyday and she also works at our branch school twice a week from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. She catalogues tests, books and organizes them. Our librarian also cooperates with some teachers on some specific projects. Our library is very big, it contains more than books. Giusy Bisceglia

Elisabetta’s letter My school is near my house, in fact it gets me only five minutes. It is very big and it has two floors. On the groundfloor, on your right there are: the video room and next to it the computer room; opposite the computer room there is the library. The teachers' room is next to the library and opposite the headmaster's room. On the groundfloor there is also the secretary's room and the offices.

Eleven classrooms are on the groundfloor while the others are on the first floor or in a bulding near the school. In my school there is a big gymnasium with two dressing rooms, one for the girls and the other for the boys, a chemical laboratory and a linguistic room. Around the school there is a garden and when it is hot and sunny we do gymnastics out there. Elisabetta Rinaldi
