R A F Ts: R (role): The ROLE which tells the student what point of view to use. A (audience): The AUDIENCE which helps the student decide who they are writing to or for. F (format): The FORMAT which identifies what type of writing format will be used. I.E. letter, Facebook page, diary and school newspaper article are just a few examples that can be used. T (topic): The TOPIC which identifies WHAT the writing is to be about. Strong Verb: use of colorful and creative language to help get your message across to the reader or audience.
