6. Have the programs met your expectations and provided value? This is a different format, however I do like it. Some are good and some are just OK They've been fine. Very much so..very professional, business driven, as one may expect. This is a very competent, market aware group. Programs and discussions have met my expectations. STAR - Denver has been a good organization for us to be apart of. A little below expectations -- the spirit of collaboration seems light Not all presenters are dynamic - and I get tired of sitting with the same people at the table. Several members are very aggressive at the tables and don't let anyone else talk - and I thought the point of attending was to meet people and see if you want to pursue getting to know them better Expectations are unclear; reasonably valuable Most have done so. Yes. They have provided ideas that have expanded my views on approaching issues that may have an impact for my clients. yes- definitely Yes - when we get discussion topics - don't particularly like lectures - get enough of them in other groups Some have been great. Others just okay.

7. What topics would you like to see in the future (topics must be of interest to all professions and disciplines) Market changes, new opportunities, related to our region. Marketing our businesses, i.e. optimizing my search engine, social media management, business development, creating buzz, etc. Focus on methods to provide quality service to clients, trust in client and referral relationships. Discussion of what criteria others use to introduce clients to other advisors. What are the challenges small business owners must give considerations to. I think it would be helpful to have members talk about areas of general interest where they have expertise, eg tax planning More stuff specific to how sell and close business with new prospects business ethics Collaboration and sharing of opportunities....mutual support Trends in the consulting industry Value delivery Consultant credentialing and qualification How to effectively use social media. Economic forecasting - how to identify leading indicators for our practice areas. Keep focus on helping all of us do better at referring each other - why - how - etc Economic trends. Internet marketing

8. What topic would you like to present and lead a discussion? Legislative and regulatory changes to qualified retirement plans. HR compliance but I don't know well to present that topic to our group. Financial/Retirement planning including Social Security optimization The Power of Engaging with Your Customers in a Digital World Not ready for presentation yet but a discussion on what KPIs would be most valuable as a foundation to determine the overall "health" of a business. 10 Commitment to profitability. strategies that companies should implement to create value and quality throughout their organizations. Onboarding new hires Internet marketing

9. Is the story that you are telling concise and clear to others? If not, would you like help in learning how to present yourself so that you are more likely to get introductions? No, my elevator talk needs to be refined. I believe it is concise and clear. I am always open for constructive pointers on presenting my company. No help needed sounds interesting Could always improve YES! yes This is another idea that might help us be better at referrals yes This would be a great topic

10. What other comments or suggestions do you have to make us a better organization? The value is in the networking, not the content. Recently, I have been addressing client needs out of town recently, so have not been a good contributor of late.. Will change in October, promise. I share the philosophy of the organization and I like it is presented. Consider rotating the location of the luncheon to include downtown and Cherry Creek We need to be sure the member directory is up to date and provides more information about people's businesses and focus areas. It's difficult to determine who does what and the directory looks incomplete. The organization is new and it will likely take some time to attract quality members - I find myself sitting with the same people and trying to generate conversation with them The organization needs to clarify its mission; and guests and new members need to clearly understand the value proposition Open the agenda for some presentations that are truly presentations and not constrained by the requirement that the presenter be there only to facilitate discussion surrounding their topic. Up to one each quarter or three times annually whatever we are able to fill with germane topics. I think that as a group we could build a strong Advisory Board for many SMBs. This survey is an excellent idea Diversify the mix of people/disciplines into the group
