Games of the Heart Become a Special Volunteer for SO2014!

Games of the Heart Manager You are available as of January 2014 and during the Games (9-20 September). You are a natural leader with a special talent for organization. You are a fluent communicator (in French, English & Dutch) who dares to stand up for his/her opinion. You can cope with responsibilities and stress. You are charmed by people with an intellectual disability who do sports.

Games of the Heart You are available during the summer of 2014 and during the Games (8-21 September). You want to be part of a team of personal assistants who accompany one of the international delegations (coaches & athletes). You are willing to live and travel in a group for 12 days. You accompany the group as of their arrival in Belgium until they leave the country again. The SO2014 Host Town Program and the Games should become an unforgettable experience for the athletes and their coaches. You play a crucial role here! You speak English very well and you master the language of your delegation (can be Albanian, German, Spanish, Russian, Tadjik …). You are very communicative and helpful. You know how to cope with people with an intellectual disability. Delegation Assistant Liaison (DAL)

Games of the Heart Coordinator You are available during the summer of 2014 and during the Games (9-20 September). You are a born team player with organizational and coordinating skills. You are very communicative and you dare to stand up for your opinion. You are charmed by people with an intellectual disability who do sports.

Games of the Heart Assistant Do you want to be part of the big success the SO2014 Games will be? Do you have 3 to 6 days of free time between 13 and 20 September 2014? Let us know! We are looking for volunteers in multiple domains (sports, security, catering, sound, media, IT, logistics, transport, reception …). Are you available on 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 or 21 September 2014? You are very welcome to help us during one of the Special Events: - Torch Run (9-12 Sept: all over Belgium) - Opening Ceremony (13 Sept: Brussels) - Closing Ceremony (20 Sept: Antwerp) Are you a handyman are do you want to help us build or clean up one of the venues? You are very welcome from 6 to 13 Sept or from 20 to 23 Sept in one of the SO2014 locations (Antwerp, Mol, Brussels).

Games of the Heart What’s in it for you? You’ll be part of the biggest international sports event in Belgium in It will be an unforgettable experience thanks to the unique, warm atmosphere. You will enjoy the sports competition, the animation or the events from nearby. A volunteer outfit, that will be yours when you participate more than one day. Daily meals and drinks. Access to public transport or bus service. You’ll be one of the many volunteers in a strong team that will work in very pleasant circumstances.
