DefinItion Tsunamis are a serie of water waves. They’re caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of water. They happen an ocean or a large lake.

Consequences They cause a seriea of waves with periods of rain, arriving in a so-called “wave rain” They caused a lot of deaths of humans and animals They can destroy houses and also cities

How we can predict a tsunami? If the first part of a tsunami - called drawback – rather then a wave crest, the water along the shoreline recedes dramatically, exposing normally submerged areas.

How to prevent a tsunami? We can put tsunami prediction measures in place and evacuate areas where there is an imminent risk of a tsunami Some environmentalists have recommended planting woodland along the shoreline where there is a high risk of tsunamis because the trees can absorb some of the wave's energy

The end!
