An everyday problem …. WasteTonnes/day Municipal Solid Waste 9,000 (including 3,300 food waste) Construction waste 3,200 Sludge 900 Other waste 200 Total : 13,300 We produce 18,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste (MSW) daily. After recovery and recycling, 9000 tonnes of MSW are disposed of at our landfills 2
