 Rosemary Anthony - I enjoy working with students and discovering innovative ways to make learning experiences meaningful and authentic for my students. I have been in education since 1999 and I currently teach 6 th, 7 th, and 8 th grade ESL in Katy ISD.  Dana Dorsett- I have been in education since My areas of specialization are Reading, English, Math, GT, and ESL and am currently teaching sheltered ESL English and reading to grades 6, 7, & 8 in Katy ISD.

 A website where teachers and students explore, share, collaborate and comment on visual media. Teachers upload images or video using their accounts. They post comments to prompt students in one of three ways: by typing text, recording their voice, or recording video. Students also have their own accounts and can add comments from school or home and create their own VoiceThreads to share with others. 

 Kidblog is a safe and simple blogging platform for students. Kidblog gives teachers the ability to monitor and control all publishing. There is no address required. 

 QR Code Stations can excite and engage students and increase student learning by increasing interest.  QR Code Stations is a kinesthetic activity which gets students out of their seats and learning at the same time.  Students will need internet access, electronic device, downloaded QR scanner, and QR codes.

 Students walk around the classroom with electronic device and scan the QR code.  After viewing video, document, or webpage, etc. to which the QR Code is linked to, students may have a worksheet, activity, or project to complete using sentence frames.

The subheading is important because _______________________. 4. What is the job of map? The map in the article helps the reader by ____________________. 5. What does the caption in the first picture help the reader to conclude? The caption under the first picture helps the reader to conclude ___________________________________________________. 6. How are the text features in this article significant? The text features in the article ‘Into the Deep’ are significant because___________________________________________.

 QR codes on objects around the room so students may learn to pronounce by scanning the object to hear the object pronounced correctly in English.  QR Codes on a worksheet to link to videos or websites for students to use to answer questions using sentence frames.

 Direct math students to on-line multiplication or division flash cards.  Link QR Code to math website with definitions of math vocabulary and complete activity using sentence stems.  Link QR Codes on homework to math videos on how to solve a problem or podcasts of teaching a skill.

 QR Codes on maps or a globe to link to a video or webpage to learn more about a topic.  Attach a QR Code on a calendar to link to a website or video of something that happened on that day in history.

 QR Code on a periodic table for students to use to answer questions using sentence stems.  QR Codes can be placed on science models such as a skeleton to link to online flash cards or a video about the skeletal system.
