Aim of this lesson: To devise a biological mask for individual skin type By the end of this session you will be able to:-  Identify appropriate ingredient for skin type  Prepare mask for client skin type  Apply mask to neck and face  Evaluate biological masks and their benefits

Biological masks  Gentle but effective action on the skin  Totally naturally using flowers, plants, herbal, vegetable  Mask become firm, and dry but does not tighten  The active ingredients have different effects on the skin

Main Ingredients  Soft fruit – acid reaction and correct balance of dry skin and aids desquammation  Plants – stimulate the circulation and increase cell metabolism  Herbs and vegetables :- tone, stimulate, balance and regenerate problem skin  Marine products:- hydrate and stabilise skin  Mixing products:- egg yolk and honey is moisturising, whipped egg white or yoghurt has a drawing tightening effect, cream good for dry skin, vegetable oil dry and mature

Suggestions for masks  Normal skin – banana, honey and egg  Dry skin – egg yolk, few drops of warm almond oil  Dry skin – avocado and milk or warm oil  Sensitive skin- warm olive oil, ground almonds  Greasy skin – egg white, lemon juice  Greasy skin – cucumber, orange or lemon juice  Combination skin – a mixture of the above  Cucumber should be placed on the eyes  Strawberries directly onto blemishes
