Behind your doors and your doorposts you have put your pagan symbols. … (Isa 57:8). “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees” (Matthew 16:6).

How bad is leaven? For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast. On the first day remove the yeast from your houses, for whoever eats anything with yeast in it from the first day through the seventh must be cut off from Israel. (Exo 12:15). Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. What is leaven? Leaven (ferment) - Fermentation is a chemical reaction that causes a substance to be agitated. The fermentation process of leaven will be arrested if the leaven is put into a cold environment, and it will be stopped entirely if it is put into a hot enough environment.

How is leaven getting into our lives, home, church? Satan’s method is to infiltrate a Godly group and corrupt it. God’s method is to separate His own from evil and purify them. Just as God desired Israel to be a model to all other nations, He also desires His Church to be an example to the world. (Unfortunately, sometimes we are taking the model of the world into the church). What are the things from the world that is infiltrating our home and church? Instead of being role model for the world, we are taking the model of the world to our home and church. What are the areas that things of the world can infiltrate into our home and church?

How does leaven relate to us? Leaven in our personal life? Thoughts, motives, attitudes, words, deeds, actions Leaven in our home? Leaven in our bible study? Leaven in our church?
