If We Are The Body

It’s crowded in worship today as she slips in trying to fade into the faces. The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know, farther than they know.

But if we are the body, why aren’t His arms reaching But if we are the body, why aren’t His arms reaching? Why aren’t His hands healing? Why aren’t His words teaching?

And if we are the body, why aren’t His feet going And if we are the body, why aren’t His feet going? Why is His love not showing them there is a way? There is a way.

A traveler is far away from home A traveler is far away from home. He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row. The weight of their judgmental glances tells him that this chances are better out on the road.

Matthew 22: 34-46 The Greatest Commandment 34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ e 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ f 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
