Personal Safety The worker must not only see to his own safety, but also the safety of fellow workers!

Legislation & Regulations...  ACT No. 85 of 1993: Occupational Health and Safety Act  For Civil Technology we focus on Factories, Machines & Building Operations  The act is put in place to prevent accidents  The payment of workers compensation  Rehabilitation of injured workers  The main focus is the protection and interest of the workers!  Focus on the responsibilities, duties, actions and conditions etc. of the workers, employers, working environment & working conditions

Personal Protection Equipment...  Head Gear...  Hard Hat  Safety Helmets  Gas Masks & Breathing Apparatus  Ear muffs  Safety Glasses  Dust Masks  Welding Masks  Safety Screens

It pays to be safe... Mistakes happen!!! You can get hurt!!
