SDUW is located in Weihai, one of the most comfortable cities in China. SDUW backs on Majia Hill to the north and is surrounded by sea on its east and west sides, covering an area of over 400 acres.

Up to May, 2007, the Chinese student population on campus has reached 150,000, including international students. The number of faculty has reached In addition, there are another 100 foreign teachers and visiting professors working at SDUW.

In order to promote the international reputation of the university, to enhance the foreign understanding of Chinese society and culture, and to push forward the further development of the internationalization of higher education and international friendship, SDUW is also making great efforts to increase the acceptance ability of international students.
