Purpose — Three Foundational Expressions: Intentional Community John 13
For God’s glory, we exist to develop a community of disciple-makers. 1— We have one unique identity. In Christ, through His gospel, we acknowledge our “nothingness” without Him—and our uniqueness in Him. 2— We accomplish our purpose via two vital connections. Vertical - God to Man and Man to God Missional – Person to Person from Neighborhood to Nations 3—We build these connections upon three foundational expressions. Christian community consists of… The people of God—those who are created by faith through His gospel (1 Pet. 2:9-10) The body of Christ—those who are members of one another in His life (Gal. 6:10) The fellowship of the Spirit—those who are a model of His future (Eph. 1:13-14) We are profoundly interdependent!
