Background The CPCRN started discussing opportunities for HPV research after FDA approval of the HPV vaccine in 2006 The HPV Vaccine Workgroup was officially formed after the 2007 CPCRN annual meeting in Boston Collaborative HPV vaccine projects were initiated during the second half of the last CPCRN funding cycle

The manuscript describes and categorizes the range of proposed state legislative bills and their outcomes for the 50 states and the District of Columbia
