What? 28 Student Councillors are Elected representatives of your cohort. Through the entire Elections process, your peers may stand for election. Soon, it will be up to you to decide who will form the 29 th Students’ Council.

Who? 28 Spearheaded by the Secretariat Consists of secretaries and treasurers from all the different departments and house directorates Plays an important role in internal communication within Council

Nominations 28 There are 3 forms of nomination – Self Nomination For those who are sure that they would like to join Council – Peer Nomination For the school population to nominate their peers whom they feel to be suitable for Council – Teacher Nomination

Council Week! 28 Static displays in the Canteen Walkway! Starting Monday 23 Feb! Other Council-organised activities are taking place too!

Self-Nominations 28 For those who, after thinking and reflecting, decide that they would like to join council. People who self nominate will automatically be shortlisted for the interview stage. However, if you self nominate, you will not be allowed to withdraw from the Elections process. Please give enough thought to whether Council is for you.

Self-Nominations: Procedures 28 1.Self Nominations Period: 18 th Feb (Wed) to 25 th Feb (Wed)5.30PM 2.Before self-nominating, please think about why you’d like to join Council. 3.Go to the Hodge Lodge during Welfare Hours ( PM, Weekdays only) 4.Request for a Self Nomination form from the councillor-on-duty. You will have to fill it up and submit by deadline.

Peer-Nominations 28 Peer Nomination will take place on Wednesday, 25 Feb, during the Assembly Block. Peer Nomination is compulsory for everyone. Attendance will be taken. Peer Nominees may not be shortlisted into the Interview stage.

CommzD 28 After all the feedback has been collected…. We will write proposals to the school and push for CHANGES and improvements that students want to see. Eg. How functions like national day should be held, how to improve orientation, building of more facilities etc etc
