Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes The course objectives are to help students understand: organizational management from a business process perspective when and how to apply process standardization concepts in and use of the balanced scorecard for strategic planning methods for establishing and sustaining a process management organization, and for BPM governance By the end of the course, it’s expected students will be able to: diagram an organization as a network of interrelated processes assess an organization’s process capability and governance align organizational strategy with critical business measures and the budgeting process. develop a plan for implementing BPM in an organization BA 563: Business Process Management5

Approach to Grading I don’t grade on the curve, I grade based on whether students meet the required standard Everyone in the course can earn an A – over the past few courses, I’ve assigned nearly 30% of my students an A Even if you think you can't get an A, or you don’t typically get an A, it’s possible – you just need to do all the work to the best of your ability Assignments will be collected electronically prior to the start of class. Late assignments will be graded down: the amount of reduction depends on how late they are received Any questions on grading? BA 563: Business Process Management6
