WHAT HCSD PILOT TEAM HAS TO SAY? DPI EE Site

WHAT WE KNOW EE was Mandated in 2011 for Districts to complete full implementation school year. 3 year observation rotation cycle Year 1 Formal : evaluator rates, observes and holds meetings with those on Formal. Year 2 and 3 Informal : self-rated and self-directed with no observations or meetings required for those on Informal. Communication tool: Teachscape All required forms will be housed on this program and uploaded as completed

WHAT WE KNOW CON… Each staff member on formal/informal will create/complete the following: Self-Reflection Form EEP (educator effectiveness plan) Form with 2 SLOs (student learning objective) 1 PPG (professional practice goal) Mid-Year Goal Review Form End of Year Report Form

WHAT WE NEED TO DO TIMELINE (TIMELINE DATES VARY FOR SEMESTER CLASSES) Fall Formal and Informal Staff Cycle Identified Self-rating Form completed Fall development of 2SLOs and 1 PPG to put into EEP Staff Identifies targeted student populations/trends using Data self directed EEP Form created and completed by 10/31 Meeting 1 with evaluator to: Review EEP and discuss observations (pre-observation form) 1announced (post conference form after) 1 unannounced 3 walkthroughs

TIMELINE CON… Winter Progress monitor SLOs through assessments self directed January: Complete mid-year review form and upload Late January: mid-year meeting 2 with evaluator to adjust SLOs if needed.

SPRING Continue progress monitor SLO ‘s: self directed Evaluatee: End of Year Goal Review Form Evaluator: Wisconsin Teacher Final Evaluation Form Complete, submit, upload both, along with related evidence by teacher Meeting 3 with Evaluator to discuss End of the year reports Evaluator/Teacher Complete End of the year Forms and meetings by 6/31.

SLO ALIGNED WITH PPG SLO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TOOL KIT SAMPLE SLOS SLO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TOOL KIT SAMPLE SLOS SLO Defined: Student learning objective that is rigorous, yet attainable goal achieving student learning growth, and is aligned with standards set by the teacher. Administrators will create two building levels SLOs and then guide teachers to create two classroom goals, as needed. PPG Defined: professional practice goals set by the teacher which align with self-reflection and SLOs. Administrators will create one and guide teachers to create one, as needed.

The EE System balances educator practice (observations and artifacts) with student outcomes (student learning objectives, value- added scores (not till 2017), graduation rates, and local indicator TBD.) Multiple measures, multiple data points and multiple years will all be factored into an educator’s final rating. This Data will be housed on the new program Wisedash Secure DPI Educator Effectiveness Scoring Goal
