Pathology Intestinal ulcers are due to enzymatic degradation of tissue. The infection may result in appendicitis, perforation, stricture granuloma, pseudo-polyps, liver abscess Sometimes brain, lung and spleen abscesses can also occur. Strictures and pseudo-polyps result from the host inflammatory response.
