EIF is Part of GIECP - National Industry-Driven Strategies and Products Developed for Regional / Local Utility Industry Workforce Development. NEI is a founding member of CEWD, along with EEI, AGA, IPI, and other national energy associations and other national energy associations

Energy Industry Fundamentals Curriculum A national product developed to encourage new workers to meet employers’ workforce needs The web-based version is extending implementation to instructor-led, distance learning environments The goal is to create a pipeline of new workers with skills to compete for high wage jobs in the utility industry Designed to convey and enhance learner knowledge to pass pre-employment exams and/or to pursue additional education/training for workforce credentials Supports math skill confidence and increase problem solving skills –- essential to student success in nuclear and non-nuclear technical degree programs and jobs

Implementation of EIF Curriculum Targeted Student Populations: High Schools (junior and senior level) Unemployed and underemployed adults Veterans Union workers Targeted Employers: Nuclear and non-nuclear electricity generation (including solar and wind) Electric and gas transmission / distribution
