You can develop leadership and professional skills desired by employers. Membership in student chapter entitles you to reduced fees for the regional professional group HRMA (Human Resource Association of Southeastern Wisconsin) and national SHRM. If you might be interested in helping to start a chapter, please let me know! 

HRMA www.hrma.org Monthly meetings during the fall, winter and spring feature guest speakers and issues of interest to professionals in the field. Annual membership fees and regular meeting and workshop fees reduced for students. The best opportunity available for meeting and networking with local HR professionals. A good investment as you finish school and enter the profession in this area!

National SHRM www.shrm.org Membership entitles you to numerous benefits, including a subscription to HR Magazine and a variety of other regular monthly publications. A terrific way to keep up with what is going on in the field!
