Wisconsin Agriculture Facts Ranked number 2 in: – Milk for drinking – Cheese: Italian Mozzarella – Baitfish for anyone that fishes – Milk cows: 1.27 million animals – Carrots – Green peas

Wisconsin Agriculture Facts Dairy accounts for nearly 40% of all Wisconsin agriculture jobs, employing 146,200 people in the state. In 2013, there were 76,800 farms in Wisconsin The average farm size in Wisconsin is 195 acres. Over 99% of Wisconsin’s farms are family-owned.

Other Facts Each year, Wisconsin growers harvest more than 1.8 million Christmas trees Bacon, ham and pork chops come from Wisconsin’s 320,000 pigs.
