Welcome to our Pack Cub Scout Round-up

What is Cub Scouting? The grade school program of Boy Scouts for boys age 7-10 (grades 1-5) A program designed to promote: –Character building –Citizenship –Training in basic skills –Physical fitness –FUN!!

What is Cub Scouting? Program of activities that provides discovery and learning in an environment of group interaction and teamwork Promotes advancement toward achievements Program is geared to age level Program always includes elements of: –Fitness-- Outdoors/nature –Citizenship-- Safety –Basic life skills-- Crafts

Dens Small groups of 6-8 boys Boys grouped by age/rank Led by volunteer parent leader and assistant Meet weekly (except pack meeting week) The foundation of the Cub’s experience

You’re not alone! Cub Scouting offers extensive adult leader support –Training (Fast Start, Cub Specific Training) –Roundtables (1 st Thursday of each month) –Leader books –Program Helps (meeting plans) –Lots of other Leader resources Pack Committee meetings

Membership Fees Annual Registration: $10 Boys’ Life Subscription: $12.00 –This price is half the cost of the non-Scout subscription. Pack Assessment: Transfer from another pack: –Requires an additional $1.00 transfer fee Adult Registration: Same as for boys –Leaders’ registration usually paid by pack
