Operation Torch 2009 September 8 – 21 © Screaming Eagles of WWII Foundation 18th September - Liberation of Eindhoven

After a lazy lunch, it was time to move to the Dutch veteran’s house in Eindhoven called the “Treffer” As you can see, the door is always open…

The place soon filled up

And became a meeting place of old and new friends

With smiles, hospitality, some drinks and food, of course

Bert too, says “THANK YOU GUYS” for your hospitality!! But it’s time to assemble for the parade now.

A little fooling around.

Until it’s time to get serious

A quick photograph of the Airborne Demonstration Team and And off we go!

Meanwhile on Eindhoven city square The ancient guilds are flying their colors

And a Mitchell B25 bomber flies a cross over the city.

On the ground, Everyone is getting ready

The Torch parade can begin

With many people along the route, after 65 years

And we are proud to say:

The 101st is here to stay!!!
