7 Course Objective  To offer a general account of Taiwan's political development and democratization.

8 Assessment  Mid-term exam 35 ％  Presentation 40 ％ (max. of 5 students in each group)  Attendance 25 ％ For each absence, one point will be deducted from the final mark as penalty. 6 week of absence will lead to an immediate fail with a final mark of 0.
