WAG Community Action for Climate Change: Pathfinder Programme Part of the WAG’s broader programme of work to support community led work on climate action (Climate Change Strategy for Wales, Oct 2010) 6 Pathfinder Officers hosted by Local Authorities across Wales 22 month programme starting on March 1 st 2011 Best Practice for local delivery of Community Carbon Saving schemes (energy, transport, food & water) Trial and research – different approaches to community engagement, behaviour change and scheme delivery Mapping, data collection on areas of activity/inactivity Creation of Pan-Wales Steering Group linking active groups and communities across sectors e.g. Community Action for Climate Change Networks Collaboration and exchange of Best Practice
