Holocaust Lesson Team A CMP 555 University of Phoenix October 11, 2008

2 Introduction Team A summarized a case study of a unit on the Holocaust The case study was broken down using the ASSURE model The team listed resources found in the case study

Holocaust Background Holocaust occurred in 1930’s- 1940’s Generally defined as acts against human nature Almost 6,000 Jews and others were killed in concentration camps

Analyze Learners 11 th and 12 th graders Grades and abilities vary Learning styles vary Previously studied events leading up to Holocaust

State Objectives To analyze the events of the Holocaust and decide if Holocaust could occur again To understand details of Holocaust To dispel myths about Holocaust

Select Methods/Media/Materials Students will preview a teacher made PowerPoint on the Holocaust Utilize extra computer time scheduled by the teacher

Methods/Media/Materials cont’ Utilize internet after checked for connection problems prior to start of lesson Introduce students to virtual learning and Image Free Template from
