B’nai Mitzvah Projects Make JNF Part of Your Celebration

Who is JNF? Founded in it started with a dream JNF has evolved into a global environmental leader: Planting 240 million trees Building over 210 reservoirs and dams Developing over 250,000 acres of land Creating more than 1,00 parks Providing infrastructure for over 1,000 communities Bringing life to the Negev Desert Educating students about Israel and the environment.

Simcha Program We all need invitations; why not work with JNF from the very start of your event? JNF has partnered with Encore Studios to bring you the latest in custom and unique invitations. Tree and water certificates can also be used as invitations, favors, table signs or any other creative idea you incorporate into your event. Personal & Individual Attention from our JNF invitation staff. Call:

JNF & U: Bar/Bat Mitzvah Projects Help continue to build the Jewish homeland. B’nai Mitzvah will be presented with a special certificate at the service for taking part in tikkun olam through Jewish National Fund.

The B’nai Mitzvah Remembrance Wall Suggested Project #1 Connect to our past, build our future Honor a child who perished in the Holocaust For an $1,800 donation a tile will be added, with the name of the bar/bat mitzvah child, along with the name and home country of a child who perished in the Holocaust. Proceeds raised from this project go towards developing, maintaining and advancing five Israel campsites for children.

Let us Play! Suggested Project #2 Help provide children of Sderot with a safe and secure place to play, away from the danger of falling rockets. HANDS-ON: Play games or host a carnival. Invite your friends to join you. Ticket sales or sponsors will help support your project.

Adopt-A-Firefighter Firefighters are first responders to terrorist bombs, rocket attacks, wildfires and car accidents. 1,400 Israeli firefighters are using outdated protective clothing. Donations of $1,800 will completely outfit one firefighter with advanced protective firefighting clothing that meets today’s stringent safety standards. Donors receive a framed certificate, a personal letter and photograph from the “adopted” firefighter, and an invitation to visit the firefighter at their fire station in Israel.

Loss of lives: 2 Fire Fighters 1 Fire Scout 3 Police officers 2 Prison officers 35 Prison Cadets 1 Bus driver ____________ Total : 44 deaths

Play Ball! “The Great American Pastime” in Israel Suggested Project #3 You can help Israelis enjoy America’s favorite pastime! Help the Israel Baseball League purchase equipment and build new fields and facilities. HANDS-ON: Host a parent-child baseball/softball game and sell tickets and refreshments to support this project.

Horses Make Miracles Suggested Project #4 Therapeutic riding programs throughout Israel help people with emotional and physical disabilities. For riders who cannot walk, the horse is transport, for those who cannot see, their guide; for those who have difficulty learning, the horse is the vehicle to finding new skills. HANDS-ON: Host a Ride for Relief session at a local stable, or sell tiny toy horses for $2 each. Volunteer at a local therapeutic riding facility.

Rise Up and Succeed Suggested Project #5 Support JNF in helping Aleh Negev, an organization that provides disabled children in Israel with high-level medical and rehabilitative care. Your project will fund new therapeutic facilities including a Safari Petting Zoo project for animal therapy. HANDS-ON: Sell teddy bears (which you can buy in bulk) which represent the care that these children receive, to support Aleh Negev.

Essence of Life Suggested Project #6 Help fight Israel’s severe water crisis by supporting a water reclamation project at the Mitzpeh Ramon Air Force base in the Negev. Water collected will greatly benefit the thousands of air force personnel, and their families, that live on the base. Part of the reclaimed water will be used to maintain a new recreation area in the community. HANDS-ON: Make custom water bottles and sell them to support your project.
