Presentation transcript:

WOC (Wing Operation Center) workplace is one of the most importnant parts of an airbase in the provision of air transport tasks. WOC participates in the decision-making process of commanders to coordinate tasks of air transport. We provide MARO (Military ATS Reporting Office) and AIS (Aeronautical Information Service).

We serve in twenty-four hour shifts, usually in composition of one officer with rank of captain or first lieutenant and one assistant with rank of Warrant Officer 2nd Class. Shift starts at 07:30 a. m. and ends at 08:00 a. m. next day.

I work as an assistent since January I have to know how to operate various office machines (computer, fax, copier, scanner, telephone) and how to work with various systems: AFTN - Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network for the sending of messages and digital data between aeronautical stations (Air Navigation Services providers, aviation service providers, airport authorities and government agencies) EDD – Electronic Data Display for military flights planning. ASM - airspace management at all three ASM levels: strategic, pre-tactical and tactical SITA – Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques, company was founded in February 1949 by 11 airlines. And provides IT and telecommunication services to the air transport industry. Internet ŠIS – Staff Information System

My job: FPL processing (sending) – AFTN, EDD reception and transmission of information concerning the air traffic flow – AFTN, SITA processing and distribution of materials for aviation personnel – AUP (Airspace Use Plan) and its update UUP, NOTAM, SNOWTAM registration and distribution of changes in aviation documentation preparation of documentation for government flights, international flights (FPL strips, Pre-flight Bulletin, passenger lists with cooperation with a ground steward) ordering services at local and foreign airports (landing, handling, fuel, accommodation for our flying staff) documentation for customs and immigration clearance, collaboration with Military Police daily, weekly and monthly statistic – for exaple: the number of flying hours, carried passengers

to have an overview of the aircraft capabilities (which airplanes and helicopters are airworthy) and the technical means at airport, as well as the presence of main commanders and squadrons commanders. except providing AIS I do in each shift many administration tasks
