If your child is in Algebra II Pre-AP/GT… Have you heard? If your child is in Algebra II Pre-AP/GT… We are…. The Classroom! FLIPPING

We’re doing what? Flipping the classroom is where students watch a short video at home on the basics of the lesson. This is their homework. The next day they come to class and work on their assignment in class. They can ask questions, work with peers, and receive additional in-depth instruction in a small group or one-on-one with the teacher!

Why are we flipping the classroom? Flipping the classroom allows the student to be able to work on the assignment with the teacher guiding the class. This means less “I don’t know what I’m doing!” at home when working on homework. The student is able to “rewind” or “fast-forward” through parts they need to hear again or already understand. It’s also great to watch the videos for review before a test!

Flipping the classroom is not replacing teacher instruction. Please note… Flipping the classroom is not replacing teacher instruction. The teacher makes the video, and the teacher still instructs during class when needed and for the more in-depth material.
