Binders and Planners Binders must go home every evening and be returned every morning Communication Tool Organization and Accountability Pacing and Goal Setting

Mrs. Mount’s Classroom Management Plan Expectations for Behavior~ Follow Chinook Guidelines Student will be responsible for his/her own personal area and belongings Student will come to school prepared to work, with backpack, tools, books, homework, etc. Students will bring home work to share with family members Students will work to stay organized Expectations for Academics~ Students will attempt to complete all assignments; refusing to work is not a choice Students will complete homework and share work with an adult at home Students will read at home each day

Positive Reinforcements and Incentives~ Individual~ Homework passes “Caught Ya” slips for principal’s drawing “Good News From School” note to family “Ribbit Cards” from scouts Success awards for Yellow House assembly once a month Group~ Group points for on-task behavior, team work, tidy desks, organized binders, etc. At the end of the week the group with the most points gets to choose a prize from the treasure box.

Consequences for inappropriate behavior and academic issues~ Individual~ Student works away from group in quiet spot Student works away from group in the great space area May lose points for the group Unfinished work gets added on to homework Note or home regarding problem Teacher and student phone home from school regarding chronic problem Consistent unfinished work leads to missing fun classroom activity (student works in quiet spot). Conference with adult, teacher, and student Time out spot in the office Referral to office for chronic problem, inappropriate physical or verbal behavior, continual disruptive behavior Any student jeopardizing the safety of themselves or others or severely disrupting the learning of themselves or others will be immediately referred to the office.
