Reality “...you are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant...For you first....” Is. 61 heal broken-hearted Lk. 4:18 that happened! o Is. 53:3 rejected by own Jn. 1:11 that happened! o Is. 53:7 stand silent before accusers Mk. 15:5 that happened! o Ps. 22:18 cast lots for His robe Jn. 19:23 that happened! o Ps. 22 (hundreds of years before crucifixion ever invented or thought of) prophets said they would pierce His o hands and feet, and it happened! o Ps. 22:1 “my God, why have you forsaken me?” Mt. 27:46 that happened! o Zech. 11:2 sold by enemies for 30 silver Mt. 26:15 that happened! o Is. 53:9 buried w/ a rich man Mt. 27 that happened!

Reality “...you are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant...For you first....” “certainly this is the most striking coincidence of details.” I guess what we can learn from this is to ask the question, How are people missing Him today???” What is our answer today church?

Reality “...you are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant...For you first....” 1.Wicked is more fun? o It seems to me... o I might add that pain and loss... o Pharoah and his country o The Christian life is a privilege, not drugery. o It is a privilege to be made holy by God, not a burden.

Things I want you to do Reality Find some common ground with some one and then witness the greatness of God in your life. If you say you believe in God you are on the right track, but need to go further. “How are people missing Him today???”What is our answer today church? “If any man be in Christ he is a new creature; the old things have gone and the new things have come.”
