Promoting Podcasting at the University of Hertfordshire A Blended Learning Unit Staff Development Workshop Alan Hilliard – Aim: Through dialogue, discussion and practical activities, this 2 hour workshop aims to provide a hands-on experience for participants to make and upload podcasts to StudyNet. Discussions of the benefits and challenges of podcasts and the variety of ways in which podcasts can be used to support learning and teaching will be included, illustrated by a number of examples and case studies drawn from different disciplines. Explanation of definitions and terminology, history and development, pedagogical applications for teaching and learning Explanation of how subscribing works to enable syncing of MP3 players.
