By: Cassidy, Courtney, and Brooke

 Jupiter is our biggest planet in the solar system.

 Jupiter is actually the 5 th closests planet to our sun.

 The atmosphere of Jupiter consists of about 84 percent Hydrogen and about 15 percent helium.

 Jupiter has a mass 318 times greater than the Earth's and a diameter that is 11 times larger.

 Jupiter rotates faster than any planet in the Solar System.  It rotates so quickly that the days are only 10 hours long...  But it takes 12 Earth years for Jupiter to complete an orbit around the sun.

 You can fit 100 Earths into Jupiter's great red spot.  Jupiter has the biggest moon in the Solar System, Ganymede. It is even bigger than Mercury and Pluto.  Jupiter is covered by an ocean of hydrogen with a sludge-like consistency.  Unlike other planets, Jupiter sends out a strong radio radiation that can be detected on Earth.

 Jupiter's volume is large enough to contain 1,300 planets the size of Earth.  If you weigh 100 pounds on Earth, you would weigh 264 pounds on Jupiter.

 Jupiter is also known as Zeus in Greece  Jupiter has rings but you cannot see them because they are faint  Jupiter is named for the Roman god Jupiter, Jove, king of the gods.

 The great red spot on Jupiter is a storm that has been going on for over 300 years.

 Jupiter has 50 official moons and 12 provisional (unofficial) moons  The four largest and most well-known were discovered by Galileo in the year Their names are Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto

 How many moons does Jupiter have? A) 20 B) 50 C) 90 D) 10  What do they think the red spot on Jupiter is? A) Cloud B) Fog C) Storm D) Jets

 What or who was Jupiter named after? A) Zeus B) Mr. Crabs C) SpongeBob D) Athena  What does Jupiter mostly consist of? A) Water B) Hydrogen C) Helium D) Energy

 Which one of these planets is the biggest in our solar system? A) Jupiter B) Earth C) Saturn D) Mars
