Why should we have iPads? A presentation on how teachers can use iPads. By: Jessica Shepherd

Many of us are wondering “Why do we need iPads?”  IPads can have many uses as an educational tool.  They can be used to communicate amongst facility.  They will help us keep up with our tech savvy children.  Our children will benefit from using them in their spare time.

What do you mean we can use iPads as an educational tool?  Teachers can do benchmark testing on the iPad.  Dibels  We can track students.  Teacher’s Assistant Pro  We can share lesson plans with one another.  iCloud  We can make and edit documents on the go  Pages  We can teach lessons on the whiteboard from our iPads  Show Me  We can make lessons from the iPad  Keynote

Why should we do dibels on the iPad? Paper  Time consuming  Timer  Flip pages  Fumbling  Write down scores Ipad  Upload Roster  Self timed within the app  Automatically changes when word is finished  Keeps up with students progress for you

Teachers Assistant Pro  Upload your classroom roster then  Keep up with discipline  Edit every aspect such as specific infraction, and specific disciplinary action.  Create random grouping for projects  Help your class become fully acquainted  Instantly communicate reports with parents and administration  Set up conferences with students parents with documentation.  Syncs up with your school .
